About Miranda Wise, CPO®
I grew up in Lubbock, Texas - home of the Dixie Chicks, Red Raiders, and a sea of cotton fields. After I graduated high school, I moved to San Francisco to go to the Academy of Art University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising. After college, I worked in advertising agencies in Austin and San Francisco.
While working as a copywriter, I found out about the professional organizing industry and became fascinated with it. Later that year I moved back to the Bay Area and joined the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals. In 2011, I started my organizing business, while simultaneously running a book resale business. The next year, I pivoted to subcontracting for a variety of other professional organizers in the Bay Area, primarily the renowned Lisa Mark. A few years later, I got engaged to the love of my life. We left the fog to return to our windy hometown to marry, have a baby, and level up our credentials. I earned a certification in my industry from the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers®, and became the only Certified Professional Organizer® within 250 miles of Lubbock. After my husband graduated with his master's degree, he got a job at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We happily relocated to Madison in 2018. Getting outdoors and eating cheese are two of our favorite things, so we often joke about how long it took us to get here. |
